Plot : The older sibling refuses to accept the new order and starts ridiculous training regimes—only to fail spectacularly. The younger sister remains unbothered, even supportive, which somehow makes it worse. Emotional beat : Frustration → absurdity → mutual laughter. Example line : “I bought a pull-up bar. She used it as a chin rest while reading a book.”
Another reason is that younger siblings may receive more attention and resources from their parents, particularly when it comes to nutrition and healthcare. This can give them a better foundation for growth and development, allowing them to reach their full potential (2).
Physical size often equates to authority in a child’s mind. When the younger sister grows past you, the "power dynamic" gets weird. The Identity Crisis:
Today, she is my protector in the physical world, but I am still her map in the emotional one. She comes to me for advice on friendships, career choices, and navigating the confusing landscape of growing up. She may be able to lift me off the ground, but I can still help lift her spirits.
