Korg M1 Serial Number

The Korg M1 uses a BR-2/3A lithium battery to save patches. When it dies (every 10-15 years), it leaks. In late-model M1s (serial 17400000+), the battery is located directly next to the main CPU. A leak kills the CPU—which is unobtainable.
