We also compare the tool’s behavior across Windows and Linux environments. Our findings suggest that while SP Flash Tool is robust for factory and repair workflows, the lack of standardized XML-based configuration (often proprietary plaintext formats) introduces risks for third-party developers. We propose a schema for an extensible XML-based configuration to improve validation and tool interoperability.
