When the hardware eventually faded into the "cult classic" shadows, the soul of the machine lived on: the library.

Before we dive into the libraries, let’s rewind. The (often stylized as BEAT THANG) was a cult-classic hardware drum machine and sampler produced by Beat Kangz Electronics (based in Atlanta, GA). Released in the early 2010s, it featured a distinctive yellow casing, a touch-screen interface, and—most importantly—a massive internal ROM of sounds.
