Where Episode 2 shines is its atmosphere. The sound design (wet organic noises, distorted moans) and the slow reveal of how the infection warps personalities make it genuinely unsettling. The “island” feels claustrophobic. However, the horror often takes a backseat to prolonged explicit sequences, which may disappoint fans of pure horror.

The tension builds quickly as alliances are formed and broken, and the team's dynamics are put to the test. Naoki, with his quick thinking and resourcefulness, emerges as a natural leader, but even he struggles to keep his team safe.
