Chaser Che80 Print Driver Better Access
Nothing is worse than a barcode bleeding off the edge of a 4x6 label. An optimized driver uses the CHE80’s auto-sensing capabilities correctly. It distinguishes between gaps, black marks, and continuous stock. A "better" driver means your print head only fires exactly where the label exists.
Rowan opened the driver with the same care she might use on an old watch. What other engineers saw as inscrutable markup, she read as instruction and injury. The vendor driver had hard-coded assumptions: paper thickness tied to a single feed speed, exposure compensation that overburned blacks into speckled sludge, and, worst of all, a margin translation that shifted the printable frame by a hair’s breadth when certain color profiles were present. chaser che80 print driver better
