It wasn't high definition. It wasn't perfectly translated. It was just a rough draft. But as he put pencil to paper, Leo realized that Day 1 of the rest of his life didn't start with a grand declaration. It started with closing a tab and deciding that he didn't need to download the past anymore.
If this were a movie, this would be the montage. The sad music would swell. Leo would look at the screen, have an epiphany, delete the file, and run out into the rain to find a new girl—or perhaps, finally, let go of the old one.
