Why is this called a "finder" rig? Because the catfish feels the resistance of the bait, but not the heavy sinker. The sinker is "found" by the fish only after it runs with the bait. This results in fewer dropped baits and more hookups in the corner of the mouth.
Anchor 20 feet up-current of the waypoint (catfish face into the current). Put your 2D sonar on a split screen. Watch the bottom line. When you see the bottom line thicken (that's the catfish), drop your cut bait or live bluegill. If you don't see the line thicken in 15 minutes, move to the next waypoint. catfish finder
