Some viewers, however, found the pacing of Episode 4 slightly slower than previous episodes. But most agree that this deliberate pacing is necessary to build toward the inevitable chaotic finale in Episode 6.

Up until now, viewers assumed Maya was a jilted lover or a vengeful ghost from Zayan’s past. Episode 4 shatters that assumption. During a confrontation in the final act, Maya removes her mask (literally and metaphorically). She is not after Zayan—she is after his memory .
